We're thrilled to start this journey with you and help you reach your educational goals! Now that you’ve scheduled your Degree Planning Session, we’d like to prepare you for your appointment, share a little about Smarter by 1 Degree, and explain how our program works.
High School On Your Terms
Smarter by 1 Degree is an online program that allows students the freedom to do schoolwork anytime, anywhere. We focus on learning instead of busywork which allows students to complete their studies in just a few hours a day while still having plenty of time to explore interests, skills, and extracurricular activities.
Expert Guidance & Support
We offer a dedicated team of experts and academic advisors to support you and your student through high school and college graduation.
We specialize in helping families who homeschool or provide home education.
How It Works
Personalized Degree Plan
We meet 1-on-1 to discuss your goals, review previous credits, and map out the most efficient, affordable, and flexible path to earning your degree.
Canvas Learning Platform
Our students watch video lessons, complete quizzes, and access learning materials in the Canvas platform.
Visual & Auditory Learning
Lessons include maps, graphs, pictures, and illustrations that make difficult concepts come alive and lead to better comprehension and retention.
Comprehensive Support
We provide step-by-step guides, schedules, checklists, and dedicated customer support to ensure your success.

✔ Degree Plan Overview – Review required courses, best class options, and degree completion timeline
✔ Program Navigation – We'll teach you how to be successful in your classes and an expert from day one. Strategy is everything!
📌 Important: We need you to join from a computer (not on a phone or in the car). Also, if you’re under 18, a parent must be present with you. If not, your session will be rescheduled, and a $50 reschedule fee will apply. *This is to ensure your success.

Q: What if I didn't receive my confirmation email?

Q: What if I haven’t chosen a degree plan?
Don't worry, we offer an academic advisor to help you decide the best degree and university for your educational goals.
Q: Can I change my degree plan later?
Yes, you can switch your degree or university, but an administrative fee applies.
Q: What if I need to reschedule?
✔ Rescheduling is free with a 24-hour notice (817) 264-7582
✔ Less than 24 hours? A $50 rescheduling fee applies.
✔ No refunds for canceled sessions.
Q: Should my student be present?
✔ Yes, if your student is under 18, both student & parent must attend.
✔ You’ll learn about the degree plan, how to study effectively, and how to navigate our program.
Q: How do I provide my transcripts?
